Hair Removal using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is an extremely effective treatment in the removal of unwanted hair. IPL provides non-invasive, permanent hair reduction in a variety of different areas.

As the pulsed light waves are attracted to pigment in the hair and skin, IPL works best on darker hair and fairer skin.
Typical areas treated are under arms, legs, bikini line and the face. Our machine offers 'Super Hair Removal' which delivers a more effective treatment and also can offer little to no pain in some larger areas such as the legs or back.

Due to the cyclical growth of hair, multiple treatments are required to achieve permanent hair reduction. The number of treatments required varies from person to person and may require up to 8 regular sessions, preferably 4-6 weeks apart.

What Happens If My Skin Is Exposed To Sun Before My Hair Removal Session?

For areas that are exposed to the sun, you may need to wait six weeks prior to having treatment in order to reduce the risk of undesirable pigmentation or burning. All areas that are being treated must be protected from UV light exposure prior to, during and after the course of treatments.

  • Avoid Sun exposure for at least 4 weeks prior to a treatment

  • Treatment during pregnancy and breast feeding is not recommended.

  • Avoid waxing, plucking and electrolysis at least 6 weeks prior to a treatment

  • Do not use self-tanning lotions or tanning beds at least 3 weeks prior to a treatment
